We organize opportunities to learn from each other in a supportive and trusting environment. Classes, camps, workshops and groups are offered to all ages at a variety of locations. See a list of classes offered or see our current schedule here.

Placemaking

Intro to Placemaking

We are working together to make connections to each other and our part of the world. In the past year we:

• added a Green Street Facility at NE Skidmore and Garfield,
• planted, and continue to maintain, a garden at the Albina Headstart / Portland Family of Funds property across the street
• participated in the annual Friends of Trees planting and
• applied for a grant through the King Neighborhood Association to depave, plant and remove a large dead tree on the block.
• applied for a grant to bring together independent and compassionate learning organizations with an Alternative Learning Fair

Media

We get to choose the stories, ideas and images that fill our heads! We are working on sharing stories we love and creating our own media.

Childcare

We are a family in NE Portland opens our hearts to other families who want to join us on our path of learning and growing. We offer a solution to families who:

• want a safe and loving place for their children to be,
• want to stay connected with their children and their care,
• are searching for childcare that offers an alternative to mainstream schools,
• want to connect, learn and share resources
