For parents seeking to be stronger and more human role models
for their children. Gather to share ideas, listen and be heard.
This group meets every other week to support and learn from each
other about keeping our kids human in an industry-generated culture.
We use Gloria DeGaetano's Parenting Well in a Media Age: Keeping
Our Kids Human as a basis for discussion, but you are welcome
to attend even if you haven't read it.
Attendance is free, tea provided, contributions
welcome.
Group meets at Maple Mallory Community Room, 3800 NE Mallory,
Thursday nights from 7-8 pm: November 17, December 1, 15, January
5, 19, February 2, 16, March 1.

From the back cover:
"Because we live in an industry-generated culture- a
culture created and maintained by businesses- children's real
human needs don't get met. Parenting Well in a Media Age, like
no other book before it, articulates the challenges of parenting
in our depersonalized society. It helps parents tap at the well
of wisdom within and offers hopeful alternatives for parents and
concerned adults wanting to maintain the humanity of our children
and the integrity of our culture."
